Shelburne Farm: Movin' Right Along...On Tractors!

Apple picking. Tractor riding. Bouncy houses. Pumpking picking. Cider donuts. And a hay maze. Excuse me, but what is there NOT to like in this list, especially for young boys?
And for a mom, only $5.00 for all the tractor riding-bouncy house bouncing-maze running that the children want? Perfect.
I am not sure why it took us so long to discover Shelburne Farm in Stowe.  We still love Tougas for its fantastic berries and playground. But this year, the tractors won out. As in so many tractors, and diggers and forklifts, all perfectly sized for little children.  My sons rode and rode and rode.  There were other options, too: hay rides for extra money, along with hamburgers, hot dogs, apple pie and more.  But we left as the crowds poured in at 11. And that then is my main advice: get there as it opens at 9:00 and that tractor area will be your children's alone.
